Surprise Package From Japan; Rilakkuma Haul
Long time, no blog post! Meanwhile, I've taken some must-do time; I've decided to write my thesis/final-report this spring (leaving my marketing-job internship to fall), I've gone to a job interview for a less-business job, and what's best, I've got me that new job!
Let me tell ya folks, if I could blog 24/7 I would - yet getting school & work done takes time.
Either way I recorded a little vlog video for you guys the other day!
In my room at my parents', wearing a Zara top & a silver necklace I got from B for my B-day.
A package from Japan; my big sis is currently staying in Tokyo for her Uni language studies. While most likely strolling around the ever-lovable Shibuya she'd done some shopping for me - and shipped a few things to me around my birthday as a b-day gift. She knows just how much I love Rilakkuma, and since I'd asked her to buy me this certain jacket from gal brand Egoist she got me all of these pretty things I'll show you in the video!
Admitting my vlogging skills need some perfectening - with the slantedness and humming sound of my laptop throughout the video. Will work on those!

Honestly speaking? I ate the whole bag of strawberry cheesecake chocos at once! Yum yum!
Sayoko looking beautiful as usual. This issue had some nifty hair styling ideas worth sharing!
The whole "gift set". Like said, will post pictures of the jacket later once I get to wearing it.

Vlog Video Update On School & Such
Hello there, dear followers of hautekeikk.com! It's been too long since my last post on here (argh, how frustrating) and since I'm sure y'all are tired of reading about me explain how I' oh-so busy with school, I decided to do it differently this time. I took a short 3,5 minute long vlog video update after the longest time!
I also wanted to try the new HD-webcam I bought ↓ with my intention being better vlogs.
A descent HD-webcam now only costs about 40€. I paid 80€ for my 1st non-HD webcam, what?!
The new cam makes things look cool when it hasn't yet auto-balanced the lightness, like here.

I even did my hair this morning, since I didn't have work nor school to go to.
I wore a chiffon shirt with the faux fur vest - and the ASOS collar cuffs!
"Hold Me" collar cuffs. Should get shirts with sharper collars for those!
Alright, I shall get back to blogging again soon - since most of the school finals, report due dates etc are now starting to be over with. I've only got some minor assignments and one report to finish, and then I'm ready for the holidays school wise. Can not wait.
I'll be doing some more Christmas shopping this week, also most likely for a few things for the always so nice myself - so we should be getting some holiday celebrations styles & clothing posts in as well as some more festive ones! And ah, my wishlist post too, of course! ♥
With that said I'm off to achieve something school related for today.

Vlog Video Update – A Few Changes
Oh my oh my, does that headline really state _VLOG_ and _VIDEO?! Yep, I finally managed to record a vlog, that I'm actually publishing (I've given vlogs several tries throughout the summer, but have ended up publishing a great Zero). Some of you may remember me saying that I'll need to blog about what's been up with me in the past months - I decided to fit most of that in this vlog.
I made this just ~3 mins, so none of yalls will have to fear falling asleep while watching! ♥
I'd like HauteKeikk.com to stay a place for sharing ideas & inspiration about sweet things. But since I'll be living here at my family's and updating from here now, you guys would eventually have started wondering what the heck happened. And I'd rather have you know I'm still happily together with my B, but that we've just had to move out for the time being - than imagining even wilder things!
So, now you know what the deal is with how I'll be living for the time being; at my parents'. Right now, I don't really know what to think of this, it's such an odd situation for me to be staying here at my family's - after the past years of living on my own. If you are too, you might be able to imagine how crazy that might feel, moving back. Like going back in time. Mr.B says it's "just my big ego". Is it just that?
Either way, I'm glad the past few frustrating weeks of moving out (again!) are over!
Here's the apartment we left, almost emptied, with only some of my stuff left;
I will probably post photos from this home before we emptied it ↑ - once I start feeling like I can.
From my old/current room ↓ at mom & dad's, with just some of my stuff in it;
Yuppp, No way everything would fit in my room. I'm working on arranging things better, though!
I also rented a storage space ↓ now twice as full as here. And you can't see much here.
To those that have really been looking forward to an apartment introduction post; obviously I can now only be posting some detail photos from our ex apartment that I took this summer, and maybe a post from my "current room" at my parents'. But for an actual home / apartment post, we'll have to wait until I've got an apartment to call home again. Sorry, people!
So for now, I'm back to my old room, to staring at that same old birch tree behind it;

S/S*11 Style Check ft. GalStar Buys
Cheers people, has summer started for everyone here in the north yet? Believe it or not, I'm finally free from school and sososo relieved to finally be done with those school assignments and finals *pheeeww*. My last ever spring semester from school is over and done with!
Time to get summer break going, then - with Summer Styles 2011 !
Starting with the cover of the newest Nuts magazine that I've got, issue 6/11
I liked the turquoise eye make (closeup HERE) so I attempted the same myself;

Ah, I haven't even realized how far into spring - almost summer - we are already! And honestly I haven't bothered thinking about what-to-wear-in S/S 2011 much... *yaaawwnn*. But luckily the Nuts magazines that I've gotten shipped to my door (thanks to CdJapan) have reminded me of the existence of STYLE hohoho. And gotten me thinking, "hmmm, maybe I should be setting my summer style plans clear already..." ( u ______ u )
So I went through the some Gyaru mags looking for some summer style ideas,
and picked 5 of my favorite trend items from Nuts 6/11 to show you guys;
| 1. The see-through white shirt. So useful, goes with anything! 2. The big floppy sun hat. 3. Denim shorts, preferably torn. A must-have summer staple. 4. Lace shirt. Ladylike and sleek, but not as boring as a plain shirt. 5. Beige shorts. When you want more formal than denim. (+ some wedges, sandal-like maybe?) |
I'm really really liking the two outfits with the beige shorts! And #3. WHY Yui SO PRETTY? ♥
I've been wanting to get one of those big hats since winter but it's seemed impossible finding one of those here in Finland! Lace shirts seem real hard to find too. And as I was looking through my closet I noticed I don't have good denim shorts or beige shorts - both pretty much the "goes with anything" type, so they'd be real useful having.
There I was, wondering where the heck I'd find all these items from; but then I remembered seeing this GALSTAR online store ad on Nuts magazine.
The ad ft. Sayoko just happened to have the perfect see-thru shirt + hat ↓
So, I went straight on GALSTAR online shop myself. AND as you can probably guess I just haaaaddd to place a little order on there~ And since I'm such a lazy butt to take a thousand pictures, I took a little HAUL VIDEO of my latest shopping finds to show you guys what I got teeheehee ♥

So yeppers, those are most likely going to become my summer style staples. I shall show you guys those items in action once I've had time to wear them and have taken pictures with me wearing them too. Taking more outfit pictures is my blogger's goal for this summer!
