Cake Days – Because We All Love Cake
Ah, hello world, so this is how you look like to the 23-year-old me?
Some awwwesome cupcake cups I got for my birthday from my girl E. We all ♥ cake!
Between my previous post and this one I celebrated my 23rd birthday. Some might argue that at this age you weren't supposed to count the years anymore, but I want to be proud of my age!

Heh heh that's right... I got this perfectly suitable birthday card!
Then again - Wouldn't it be fun if I suddenly hid my age and then you'd all be thinking I was, as I often hear I look, an 18-year-old little girl - who'd just happen to be about to graduate from Uni at age 18 and would therefore have to be one heck of a genius? That'd be a nifty alias!
Maybe next year.
Now I'm here to share a few (cake) photos from my birthday;
It had snowed heavily during the night before my birthday, so I woke up to this. What a beautiful gift.
I wasn't expecting gifts but my mom surprised me with a little cosmetics bag gift in the morning.
Including the new Trésor Midnight Rose (starred By Emma Watson) eau de parfum! Sweet ♥
For b-day bakings I used a recipe from the Hummingbird Bakery's Cake Days book I got for Christmas.
This time I baked Red Velvet cupcakes for the first time, by the recipe from the Cake Days book.

The cakes were yummy, and what's almost as important is, I got to use my cupcake tower for once!
Here's a shot from the pages of the Cake Days book - it must be the prettiest & yummiest book I've seen yet.
The layout & photos are just beautiful. Here the Strawberry Daiquiri mini cupcakes - so cute.
This year my birthday included baking, breakfast with mom & dad, little new treasures and coffee with very few close friends. The older you get, the more you realize how many "friends" you have made that never really were friends to begin with - and then again, how great those few people are that will stick in your life. And there aren't many.
Muffin much, my current combo back to staying at my parents again + turning 23 is not so flattering - but I'm sure my age will fit me just fine once things with that i.e. go back to "normal".
PS. Ok, this post had little to do with style/fashion. Next post is more style related! Cheers!
Quick Update: Birthday #22! With V-Log
*Chi-chinggg* ladies & gents, the 7th of January went by and as I'm SURE you all know *cough* that means I just celebrated my 22nd B-DAY!! WEPPEEE I'm 1 year older ( @ A @ )/ Hohoho~
So, this week I'm home alone all week so I've spent loads of time editing pics, videos etc for blog posts, so we should be seeing loads of new posts in the next days / weeks. Now I'm here with just a little b-day related update!
I'll be babbling more about my b-day later in this post but 1st; a little V-LOG talk ↓
... sorry about the "umm"s and "aaand"s. I hadn't planned anything so here's the result :D
And hey, since I already started talking about those gifts - here's the books I got ↓
Skinny Bitch (Kim Barnouin) - Ultimate Everyday Cookbook
Jonathan Walford - Shoes A-Z (Designers, Brands, Manufacturers and Retailers)

And then here's some other essentials; a sequin brit baggy and two plushies ↓

But that's it for what I'll show you guys of the gifts this time~

Then back to b-day issues~ I swear that 3 or 4 years ago I'd have thought that a 22-year-old person pretty much equaled GRANNY. I mean twenty-something does sound like "old" when you're in your teens, doesn't it? But hey, I'm still a student + I'm not even getting married in the next 2 years or anything so man, I've still got loads of life to live! Right? Well ok I do feel a bit "old" when I think about the numbers 22 but truth is... Life should just be beginning for a person aged 22, don't you think? ♥'
So, about how I spent the night of the 7th = my b-day itself. This year's was pretty much literally "B-day" for me as I spent most of the evening with my man (his name starts with a B) D'oh. Ok genius, not? But yesss! I didn't arrange anything special for friends; I was seeing my girls on the 8th for dinner anyway.
· But on the 7th, as my twitter peeps would know, the following took place;

Instead of the usual b-day partying I dressed up nice, possibly a bit desperately trying to look grown-up (hehe, but luckily I have no pics of the night for proof!). See, I had my mr.B take me out and to eat "in a nice place". He'd picked one of the Michelin-★ restaurants here in Helsinki. If you're Finnish you might've read of it, even visited or at least seen it - it's right across from Cantina West, which is where I went to eat with my girls on my 20th b-day for example.
But so this time, we stepped in OLO restaurant for a 4 (actually like 8) course menu.

Sorry guys, I wasn't snapping pics like a tourist so I have none more to show! Yep yep.
It was perfect taking time off like that, such a rarity so it makes you really make the most of the moment. Sitting down in a nice but comfy restaurant just enjoying the atmosphere, the tastes, each other's company. Someone shoulda warned me about the 5 glasses of wine included in the price though! Hohoho. OH AND PS: theme song title of the day ( > υ ~ )y *giggles like a little kid*
OH BUT guess what guys I'm now off to edit that little home intro vid and pictures! Cheers~
