I've been talking about working on a few big-on-my-scale projects with the blog, but fear not, I'm not planning on changing hautekeikk.com to a baking blog or something! I'm currently working to make hautekeikk.com a better working, and most importantly, a more entertaining and inspiring blog for all of you sweet readers, old and new!

This includes getting lots of those super-great-quality photos in and posting about things that all y'alls mind reading about, mostly style centered. AND believe it or not posting more VIDEOS!

(Unlike today's) Yesterday's weather was perfect, so perfect I even had to go ahead and tweet Mr/Mrs Weather how perfect he/she was. Naturally. I utterly looove this time of the year when it's almost as warm as in the summer, but leaves have not yet fully opened on trees and because of that the world looks even sunnier than in the summer!

After a little thesis work yesterday, and hey - actually recording a VLOG VIDEO! - I headed down to B's and managed to take him on a little walk with me and snap these photos.

I've got such big plans for the blog right now. I might tell you about them a bit more on some video post sometime in the future, but posting great and better quality outfit photos for y'alls is one of my goals. That one includes, me learning how to keep my mouth shut in photos for one. And not looking like I was about to catch a fly in my mouth in every other photo. Yep yep.

With my currently under-construction inspiration board, and a calendar to keep track of my thesis.

Yes, that's where I should be spending my upcoming weeks for until my thesis for my Business studies is due, and that's around June 15th. I'm sure you can tell from the fact that I'm blogging here now, that I've been good sticking to my desk - it's just that the thesis would be done with a bit quicker if I didn't sit here blogging. But. Well you know!

This evening has been a fleece pants & hoodie one, getting over today's 6AM shift and German test, so I won't share the beauty of my today's look with y'all now. I do have something style related from the other day though, should be posting again before the weekend ♥

One of those sunny days, wearing Esprit jeans I must've gotten during junior high, and a Mango tee.

If there are two items in the world of clothing that you could say everybody's got, to generalize a bit, those just might be the white tee and blue jeans. Myself, I'm not too big on the second one since I'm so vainly strict about how I should look in jeans (those girly butt things you know) but the white t-shirt has become a definite go-to item. A comfy one, too.

I bought this lightweight cotton T from Mango a few weeks ago and am now craving for more sheer ones, and colorful ones for the summer of course! There's something (so wonderfully easy) about throwing on a plain white top and jeans.

I think I need me some of these simple white tops for the summer! Below from Asos;

May Day, May Day! May 1st is celebrated nationwide here in Finland among graduates and students, plus all friends of champagne, picnics and all with a thirst for booze of course. We celebrate it both on the last of April and May 1st, which is a national off-day. Here in Helsinki friends & families go out for picnics and walks, kids get party balloons and gear and especially those Uni students get very "festive".

We just went for one glass of wine at a terrace and then some casual comfy dinner out on the eve of May Day. Headed home early and got up earlier today on the 1st to join B's family's picnic downtown - the weather has been the prettiest in ages all day!

Last May me and B had just moved in on our apartment; I refuse to watch that old vlog video of mine now as I know just how much it would make me wish we'd still be sharing that apartment! Can you imagine how much I wish for us to be able to move in like that again asap? Ah well, I know we will be able to, in time. Patience, K, patience.

Hello, summer morning sun! In all it's geological and whatsoever truthfulness, I just love saying "where would we be withoout the sun". Okay, I might not really say so that often, but every sunny morning like these past two I just can't help but think so. My absolute favorite time of the day & year is a sunny late morning in spring or early summer. There's just something about them.

This Saturday I tagged along with my family for morning coffee at the market hall on our way to take some of my big sister's belongings to her new apartment downtown (envy!). Miraculously enough the weather was warm enough for wearing a denim jacket or a knit only at 9 in the morning already.

Summer, we are getting there ♥

Now I'm back at my desk again, intend to do some thesis work still before tomorrow's work shift and May day celebrations!We'll see about those, I'll be posting again after May Day.

What's everyone here planning for "vappu"? I can't wait for May Day brunch or coffee in town!

Ah, the sun is up and out again! Yesterday was such a pretty, sunny day here in Helsinki. I decided to take what felt like a risk and leave home in a denim jacket, but Sunday's +15C felt like summer and my knit and denim jacket combo was almost too warm. Hey, a denim jacket! All you Finnish people know that means spring-summer for us.

More than that, yesterday was my B's birthday so we decided to go have lunch downtown. Awwh how good it felt to walk out in the sun with my baby in town ♥ B wanted to spend the day as laid-back as possible so we just went to get some casual but always so neat pasta at VaPiano.

After our bowl of pasta we headed back home, need I mention for some strawberries & cream cheesecake I'd baked myself (proud little keikk). It was a little bit too sweet though.

Last year during this time of the year me and B had just moved in and started to settle in on our shared apartment. After this past year I am honestly extremely happy to be celebrating another anniversary with him, this upcoming weekend actually. I also can not wait for us to move in together again and be able to live every day together, though that may have to wait for now.

My Birthday-B not so excited for having to wait for me to get my camera ready again ❤ 

But that was Sunday and today it's unmistakably Monday! I started work at 6AM today and already feel like I could doze off anytime. But more thesis work is yet to be done! Also, I did have those plans on going to gym. Hmm. We will see about those.

Right now this very same book store is squirming with bargain hunters because of the biggest department store sales in town called the "crazy days", but on Saturday morning it was all peaceful. As if one post on this new jumper knit of mine wasn't enough, here's a few more outfit photos. The studded biker style boots are old Spirit Store ones, everything else but the knit is Zara. What is it with my closet and Zara these days?!

That was the Saturday I ended up skipping gym for a belated breakfast-out with my parents.

This is one of those lifestyle posts that is meant to mislead you to thinking the blogger lives a superbly luxurious and fancy life. No I mean, what do you mean a student such as myself doesn't get a nice brunch with some brie and freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast every morning? Those lovely rare little luxuries in life indeed. I've got a feeling I'm getting a real brunch phase on and that's no good for my budget. Luckily this one was on ma momma, ha.

Just a little post before the weekend, which will hopefully include some hair dyeing and cake baking for me, for what I'll manage to get done on a work weekend. You enjoy yours!

That much unrelated to this outfit post, I wore this today;

It's a good thing you are reading my blog because, hey, otherwise you might not know how the weather in southern Finland was like every week if it wasn't for my weekly updates on our current weather here! Well, mother nature still hasn't decided whether it's spring or winter here (with snowy rain last night and such) so you can't yet trust in T's and shorts.

I've been going for comfy casual loose knits like this one from Carlings. I see girls walk past in denim jackets but let me tell you, the wind is freezing enough to make me keep my wool coat and boots on still! But I'm thinking that knit will work well in the summer too with some shorts and tanks, don't you think?

I also got my hair cut last week, chopped some 10-15 cm off the dry ends, but haven't yet decided what color to go for this spring. So my hair is in desperate need of some hair dye. Just saying, in case those 12 different shades in my hair didn't cantch somebody's attention yet. Heh heh. Also, how do I style this new hair, is a mystery.

It must've been last week when I left school on a sunny spring afternoon like this one and heard that 100% sure proof of spring for the first time this year - the sound of a motor bike. A real bike. Ah, that feeling! When I'd just stepped out of the front doors of my school into the sun and onto a street lined with tall office houses, and then I heard that WRRRRAHH of a bike blast through the tunnel-like street. When I turned my head to see the first Suzuki of the season wooshh by.

If my explanation on the kicks I got when I heard a bike roar for the first time this spring failed to get my message across, I just can, not, wait! For bike season. The sound of the engine like on B's bike brings back all those great moments from last summer. Can't wait. And I'm not even the one to drive the bike, I'll just be sitting on the tiny back saddle enjoying the ride behind my baby's back.

I'm not yet good enough with bike stats and all that stuff to really go all "biker heart and soul" for now but I have to say, it's one catchy hobby. You'll never get me to admit I'm dreaming of my own pink Ninja or some nifty Ducati. Mmhm ♥

It's not very likely I'll be getting my own anytime soon tho, so for now, I plan clothes.

Just a few little themed things - a proper safe biker jacket is actually something I'll need just to be safe when riding the bike. But those things can get expensive so we'll see. But I better calm down now hmm? Off to bed!
